Sources, in order of preference: union contracts, tentative-agreement summaries and union press releases (ALPA, APA, SWAPA, IPA, Teamsters); airline careers pages and official job postings; SEC filings; established news outlets. Reputable third-party pilot sites only when no primary source is readable, and always named.
Never estimated. If we can't confirm a figure from a reliable source, it reads exactly: Unverified. We couldn't confirm a reliable source for this yet. If the operator simply doesn't publish it, it reads: Not listed by the airline
First-year FO pay is the Year-1 base rate for a new-hire first officer. Top captain pay is the highest longevity step on the current captain scale, with the step and fleet named. Rates exclude per diem, premiums, bonuses and profit sharing. Southwest pays per TFP (trip for pay) and fractional operators publish annual salaries; we show those exactly as published and don't convert them.
Every figure shows its source URL and the date we last checked it. Where sources conflict, we show the most authoritative one and describe the conflict in the note, or mark the field Unverified if no source is authoritative.
Job-board copies: when an airline's own posting isn't reachable but an exact copy is (e.g. on a job aggregator), the source is labeled as a job-board copy.
News items are written in our own words, link to the source, and are dropped after 90 days. They never change a figure on their own.
Independence: no company can pay to add, change or remove any figure on this site.
Privacy: we use Cloudflare's cookieless analytics to count visits. It sets no cookies and collects no personal data.
